A caffeine-free herbal tea formulated around herbs traditionally used to support calm and relaxation.* Chamomile and lemon balm lead the blend. Nettle leaf and gotu kola give the base an earthy, green body, and peppermint, rose petals, and licorice root shape the flavor. The cup is floral and lightly sweet, with mint at the finish.
Every herb in this blend is sourced from organic growers. The tea is formulated by clinical herbalist Ivy Ham and blended by hand in small batches at our Montana workshop.
Ingredients
Chamomile flowers, lemon balm leaf, nettle leaf, peppermint leaf, gotu kola leaf, rose petals, licorice root. All herbs are sourced from organic growers. Naturally caffeine free.
Choose Your Format
- 12 single teabags: each bag contains 2 g of tea and makes one 8 oz cup. Net wt 0.85 oz (24 g).
- 5 pot teabags: each bag contains 8 g of tea and makes one 32 oz pot, which is 4 cups. Net wt 1.41 oz (40 g).
- 50g loose leaf: for a strainer or infuser. Makes about 25 cups. Net wt 1.76 oz (50 g).
How to Brew
Single cup: place 1 teabag or 1 heaping tablespoon (2 g) of loose leaf in a mug. Add 8 oz of just-boiled water, cover, and steep for 15 minutes.
Pot: place 1 pot teabag in a 32 oz teapot or quart jar. Fill with just-boiled water, cover, and steep for 15 minutes.
Covering the tea while it steeps keeps the aromatic oils in the cup.
What the Teabags Are Made Of
Like most commercially-sold teabags, the ones I used are made from a blend of natural cellulose fibers, including wood pulp and abaca. Abaca is also called manila hemp, a plant in the banana family that is native to the Philippines. Man-made thermoplastic fibers are added so the bags can be heat sealed and stay durable. The bags are whitened with hydrogen peroxide and contain no glue. They are manufactured in the USA, then filled and sealed by hand by Rob and I in our workshop.
Storage
Keep the pouch sealed and store it in a cool, dark, dry cupboard.
Good to Know
This blend contains chamomile, a member of the daisy (Asteraceae) family. Every ingredient is listed above so you can review it with your licensed provider if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
