About this beanie
This reversible beanie is knit by hand from 100% merino wool. Zero machines were involved in the making of this hat, which is why it took nearly 20 hours to finish.
Why merino wool
Merino fibers are finer than standard sheep's wool, which is why merino feels soft against the forehead instead of itching. Both yarns in this hat are 100% merino, so the softness is the same on either side.
Fit and warmth
The beanie is sized for adult heads. On a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of warmth, I would rate this hat a 6 or 7. Since this hat is double layered and also pretty breatheable, it's a nice all-day layer during the colder months.

Care
Hand wash cold with a mild detergent, then reshape while damp and lay flat to dry. Machine washing or tumble drying will felt and shrink the wool.
