The Montana Organic Association has held its annual conference for more than two decades, and it remains the main yearly gathering of the state's organic community. Grain, oilseed, pulse, vegetable, and livestock producers attend alongside certifiers, buyers, and researchers.
Expect workshops, panel discussions, nationally recognized speakers, Montana-grown organic meals, live and silent auctions, and the annual membership meeting where board officers are elected. Pre-conference tours have been part of the program in recent years.
MOA's scope goes beyond food. The association also educates on organic fiber, cosmetics, and household products, which makes this a useful conference for anyone making or sourcing clean goods, not only farmers.
