There are very few organic livestock and poultry producers in Arkansas currently. Researchers Keith DeHaan and Matthew Gibson of Food & Livestock Planning, Inc., recently completed a feasibility study that investigated the opportunities and barriers to organic livestock and poultry production and processing in the state.
In conversation with NCAT Agriculture Specialist Margo Hale, DeHaan and Gibson will share the results of that study and provide a roadmap to increase the production and processing of organic livestock and poultry in Arkansas and beyond.
